The Scarlet Perch
Herend Manufactory
- DESCRIPTION
- Founded in the Hungarian village of Herend in 1826, the Herend Manufactory has produced some of the world's most coveted decorative porcelain for nearly two centuries. Its bird figurines are among the most prized in the genre - each individually painted by a single master artisan, who inscribes a personal monogram alongside the cobalt Herend mark on the underside. This scarlet macaw, perched on a naturalistically modelled tree stump adorned with painted fruit, showcases the manufactory's hallmark ornithological precision.
