The Dragonfly Glass

Chinese Cloisonne tradition
DESCRIPTION
The dragonfly - in Chinese culture a symbol of change, good fortune, and the ability to see beyond surface appearance - here forms both the handle and the emblem of this extraordinary functional object. The wings are executed in true cloisonne: fine wire partitions soldered to the silver-tone base, filled cell by cell with powdered enamel, and fired multiple times. A convex glass magnifying lens completes the object, arriving in its original presentation box.
