Bubble Body - Goldfish

Murano Glassworks
DESCRIPTION
The round, bubble-filled body of this piece is achieved through the bulicante technique: a gather of clear glass is blown into a mould lined with regular indentations, which capture air pockets that become the uniform bubble pattern visible through the walls. Amber glass is then fused on as the fins, tail, and head - each element tooled while hot.
