Prints & Lithographs
Grandmother
Igor Kovalyov
- DESCRIPTION
- The intimacy of the composition is its defining quality. There is no drama, no gesture, no event, only presence. Two people, a shared moment, and the viewer standing just outside it. The soft purple-grey wash that envelops the figures gives the image a dreamlike quality, as though the memory itself is slightly fading at the edges.
